How to support the Trueness Project.

Have you been thinking of supporting The Trueness Project but are unsure how you can make your contribution count? We get it.

Kindness is something we all can offer at different levels. The Trueness Project invites every form of support aimed at achieving its mission and vision.

Some of the questions you may be having in mind are: How can I get involved with The Trueness Project? What kind of impact will my involvement yield? What opportunities are available for my skill set?

Not to worry, this article discusses the various ways you can contribute to The Trueness Project’s vision. You will find all the answers to your questions so you can share your skill set, resources, or expertise with us.

You will also learn how we utilize the support you share with us to ensure transparency and accountability.

Let’s get the ball rolling.

Ways to Support The Trueness Project

We offer diverse opportunities for everyone to get involved and turn our vision into reality.

Here are the various ways you can join hands with us to cultivate authentic living:

1. Volunteer your Time and Skills

What is your area of specialization? Do you feel indebted to share your skills and time and impact an individual or community positively? We’re looking for you!

We welcome professionals with diverse skills; from mentoring the youth to offering professional expertise.

For instance, our mentorship programs cover a wide range of topics, including leadership development, career growth, mental health, cultivating a positive mindset, wealth creation, and financial management.

If you are a financial consultant or a leadership coach, we would be glad to have you share your expert insights with our mentees.

How about if my expertise doesn’t align with any of your mentorship topics? You wonder!

There’s an opportunity for you too. By volunteering, you can help with on-the-ground community support projects, or help virtually with digital outreach, connecting us with our target audience, or advocating for our mission.

Additionally, we host webinars where we share success stories to inspire individuals and communities. We believe that by learning from different stories, mentees can resonate with challenges and discover ways to overcome their fears.

So yes! Whether virtually or physically, your time and skills matter to us. By volunteering to support our community programs, you help us build a stronger and richer foundation for our communities and empower them to live fulfilling lives.

2. Spread our Cause on Social Media

The Trueness Project is on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. We regularly share our experiences and developments, updating you on upcoming events, ongoing projects, our mission, and notable achievements.

How about you help us amplify our message by sharing it with your network?

By sharing our posts, engaging with our content, or telling others about our mission, you expand our reach, connecting us with more supporters.

3. Participate in our Events

Events help us create awareness of our mission to a broader audience as they bring together people who share in our vision.

Throughout the year, we host events and invite creatives to contribute their artistic work in amplifying our mission. By opening a door for creative work, we encourage individuals and communities to explore their creative genius.

As a result, they tap into their hidden potential, while expanding our reach and creating more awareness of The Trueness Project’s mandate.

For instance, during The Grand Butterfly Gathering, a global peace-building event, in June 2024, we attempted to break the world record of the largest number of people dressed as butterflies while celebrating personal transformation, authenticity and unity.

In preparation for the event, we brought together people from various countries virtually and physically, celebrating with The Trueness Project throughout the campaign period.

The preparation culminated with a physical event in downtown Jackson, Wyoming, where more joined in the mission in an attempt to break the world record.

We managed to break the world record for the largest number of people virtually gathered dressed like butterflies, and believe the physical gathering world record is 80% broken.

In the spirit of resilience and determination, we’ll be breaking the record in our upcoming Grand Butterfly Gathering event in June 2025. You can help us hit the target by participating in the event, inviting more people to participate, or sponsoring the event.

We update past, current and upcoming events on our website so you can stay refreshed, preparing you early enough to particpate. You can access details of The Trueness Project’s events anytime, anywhere.

4. Partner with The Trueness Project

What services or products do you offer? Are you looking to contribute your services or merchandise to support our mission?

Then this is your chance to share your support with us.

Part of our philanthropic work includes sharing sanitary health products, workplace tools, and leadership and self-development books to children, CBOs, institutions, orphanages and refugee camps.

We are currently collaborating with the Kenya National Library Service and Napoleon Hill Foundation to help with book donations. We’re still inviting more partners to join our mission and help us touch more hearts as we promote purposeful living.

5. Offer Financial Contribution

We get it. You may lack the time to share your skills. Or even be unable to offer any services or merchandise that could support our cause.

But every dollar counts towards touching a heart and transforming a life. Your financial contribution is helpful in various ways, including:

    • Funding our community outreach projects

    • Buying leadership and self-development books to support our book donation activities

    • Facilitating The Trueness Project’s mentorship program resources and workforce collaboration

    • Supporting community-based events and projects such as the book writing project by Kereri Girls students.

You can visit our donations page to learn how you can donate to support our projects and activities.

How the Community Benefits from Well-wishers

Your generous giving is a staircase up towards meeting our vision-championing authentic living for utmost fulfillment. We appreciate your support as much as the community does as they benefit in the following ways:

    • Access to Basic Needs: Well-wishers’ support helps provide essentials like food and sanitary products.

Meeting basic needs builds confidence, promotes equity, and ensures children and families in underserved communities can focus on personal growth.

    • Increased School Attendance for Girls: With donations toward menstrual health supplies and education, more girls can attend school regularly and remain in class even during their periods.

This helps break cycles of period poverty and boost their confidence and academic performance.

    • Skill Development and Talent Nurturing: Support helps fund workshops, mentorship, and creative programs.

Such programs allow young people to discover and cultivate their unique talents, opening doors for self-expression, innovation, and future careers.

    • Women’s Empowerment and Economic Independence: Women unlock their full potential, become financially independent, and lead within their communities as they have the tools, skills, and resources they need.

    • Community Development and Unity: Financial support makes it easy for community-building programs.

These programs foster unity, resilience, and mutual support within local and international communities, bringing people together to achieve shared goals.

    • Promotion of Integrity and Authentic Living: Through advocacy, education, and events, supporters help live The Trueness Project’s vision.

They promote values of honesty, integrity, and self-worth, empowering individuals to embrace authenticity and lead fulfilling lives.

Ensuring Transparency & Accountability

The Trueness Project holds financial management, accountability and transparency in high esteem. We believe that stewardship is a key virtue when mobilizing and distributing resources to share with the less privileged.

It not only motivates our supporters, but also helps cultivate honesty, integrity, and accountability to our beneficiaries.

Here is a quick guideline on how we ensure transparency and accountability:

1. Problem Identification

We identify a problem our target audience is facing through our volunteer staff in various parts of the world. The identification could be through referrals from reliable sources, news, or a physical encounter during our community outreach activities.

Generally, our target audience includes:

    • CBOs

    • Children’s homes

    • Orphanages

    • Educational institutions

    • Refugee camps

However, we must conduct due diligence by having our staff call or visit to identify the specific challenges they are facing.

2. Determining Effective Support

Once we have established the community’s pain points, we discuss with their leaders to understand how they wish to be supported. It could be financial support to fund their day-to-day initiatives, or tools of work to facilitate their objectives.

3. Delivering our Support

The Trueness Project sets a budget and purchases required items (when necessary) to deliver to the organization. If it’s an educational institution, we have established a guideline on the type of products and amount to invest in both primary and secondary levels.

Donations such as food may not require The Trueness Project staff to buy it. Instead, we liaise with the organization’s management to identify what they can buy based on our budget, then send a representative to officiate the giving.

Our visits are also a way of establishing a relationship with our beneficiaries as we grow their communities.

4. Reporting

For every donation we do, our representatives share a report of what happened, with photos and videos of the awarding as evidence. Our beneficiaries also write to us in the form of appreciation letters, acknowledging receipt of our donation.

5. Ensuring Transparency

To maintain transparency, we upload some of the gratitude letters our beneficiaries share with us on our website. Also, having sought consent to share the photos taken, we share the news on our social media platforms.

We also publicize the people we’ve partnered with, fostering trust amongst the beneficiaries and our partners.
