September 18th, 2024, marked a year of impact and transformation for The Trueness Project. Founded in 2023, the nonprofit went above and beyond its 2024 envisioned goals, all thanks to the organization’s team and well-wishers’ support.
Admittedly, we encountered a fair share of challenges that limited us from achieving some of the goals set for 2024. While those goals were important, the success achieved is worth the celebration and gratitude.
As we address the 2024 goals gap, we’re excited about what 2025 will unravel. We believe in the strength of unity and are overjoyed to share a sneak peek into our 2025 goals masterplan with you.
Welcome onboard and journey with us as we review 2024 achievements, address the pending ones, and discuss our 2025 goals.
Reflecting on 2024 Milestones
We approached 2024 with the zeal and desire to achieve the following goals:
- Establish June 29th as an International Day of Trueness
- Host the June 29 worldwide community-building event
- Introduce Leadership Book Authorship Initiative in Kereri Girls’
- Develop K-12 mentorship materials on leadership and integrity
But how many of the boxes did we check?
Let’s tick the boxes together as we review the goals:
1. Launching June 29th as the International Day of Trueness
On June 29, 2024, we introduced The Grand Butterfly Gathering, a global prayer movement designed to inspire non-denominational unity and foster global peace.
Thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds worldwide joined hands—both virtually and in person—clad in butterfly-themed attire.
The 2024 event was a prayer for global peace, a time to build community and spread love, while also attempting to break the current world record of the largest gathering of people dressed like butterflies.
We hosted the Butterfly event at Downtown Jackson, Wyoming, declaring June 29th as the International Day of Trueness. Henceforth, we desire to honor the day annually while celebrating The Grand Butterfly Gathering as a symbol of transformation.
2. Developing K-12 Mentorship Materials
On this goal, our initial focus was to impact Kindergarten to Grade 12 children. However, The Trueness Project surpassed the goal of impacting children and went ahead to also mentor the youth, including those in junior and senior secondary schools, and those in university.
Our mentorship programs tackled critical topics like career development, leadership, and mental health, guiding Kenyan youth in securing their future.
3. Kickstarting the Leadership Book Authorship Initiative
One of our six strategic pillar programs is nurturing talent and creativity. It’s a program designed to help individuals and communities discover their hidden potential and develop it into a reliable source of income.
It’s possible to acquire skills and find a job, yet remain unfulfilled if the job doesn’t align with your interests and values. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
As such, we endeavor to help students and the youth discover their talents so they can pursue a fulfilling career.
In 2024, we introduced a leadership book authorship initiative at Kereri Girls’ High School in Kisii County, Kenya, with up to twenty girls participating in the book-writing process.
The initiative is meant to:
- Realize and honor young leaders in the institution
- Discover and develop their creative capabilities, including storytelling
- Nurture and grow their self-presentation skills and position themselves for senior leadership roles.
The Trueness Project trained them on the book-writing process, encouraging the young leaders to share their authentic, from-the-heart stories and experiences on leadership.
In collaboration with Kereri Girls’, we will launch the book officially in February 2025, and we’re looking forward to sharing the impactful stories with the world.
4. Touching Hearts, Spreading Love
Every month, The Trueness Project has been supporting at least one entity in Kenya on a minimum budget of $600.This is based on one of our programs—philanthropy. The program is designed to support underprivileged communities across the globe.
We made significant strides in supporting children and students in Kenya through donations of children’s books, leadership books, educational materials such as books and pens, and menstrual health products for girls.
These resources improved their access to education while fostering confidence and dignity.
In one of our most heartfelt efforts, we helped provide meals to children and families in Kenya’s Kibera Slums. Hundreds of children benefited from this initiative, offering relief from hunger.
In Nepal, we ensured over 100 children received clothing to keep them warm and healthy during harsh conditions. This initiative was part of our broader commitment to supporting vulnerable children.
Moreover, we partnered with Mercy Missions to tackle the grave issue of sex trafficking, advocating for the safety and dignity of young girls.
5. Advocating for Truth and Transformation
Through vibrant campaigns, thought-provoking social media content, and hands-on mentorship sessions, The Trueness Project has amplified its mission of truth, authenticity, and transformation.
Our advocacy reached audiences across continents, creating ripples of change that continue to grow.
We believe that the more we tell our story, the more we enthuse others to tell theirs and join us in amplifying our efforts to all corners of the world.
A Glimpse into 2025’s Goals
2025 is fast approaching and we have already painted a picture of what success looks like in our eyes.
Here are some of the key goals we desire to bring to life in 2025:
1. Launch Leadership Book Authorship Initiative in a National Boy’s School
The leadership book authorship initiative was a great success, which motivated us to scale the impact and keep growing young leaders. As such, we will be launching our second batch of transformative stories from student leaders in a boy’s school.
This strategy underscores our commitment to ensuring equitable access to opportunities empowering both girls and boys to lead with impact. We can’t wait to see the boy child document their experiential leadership stories.
2. Scale the Impact of the Trueness Project to 4 Key Countries
So far, we have felt the impact of our transformative programs majorly in Kenya and Nepal and are still on them for a greater impact with the flagship initiatives.
Being a global nonprofit, we desire to establish a geographical footprint beyond borders and reduce suffering throughout the world.
In 2025, we’re launching deeper to impact two more countries as we spread love and inspire authentic living.
3. Launch “Leadership Mentorship” Platform
Our mentorship sessions have been transformative, with the most impact recorded in Kenya. With a focus on a global footprint and equity in transformation, we are building a curriculum to accommodate more mentees and engage a diverse range of mentors.
We appreciate the place of expertise and diversity and believe that by involving leaders from all points of the compass, we’ll achieve a richer impact.
Launching in 2025, the leadership mentorship course will ensure guided and systematic learning and the growth of leadership skills among the youth.
4. Host Second Annual International Trueness Day
Having launched the International Day of Trueness in 2024, we plan to unite the world again while celebrating trueness and peace. The event will be held in June 2025.
The goal is to foster a strong community and connection among participants. It will be a platform for learning, sharing experiences, and finding inspiration in stories of resilience from our speakers.
During this second annual event, we’ll focus on looking back and appreciating every moment of fulfillment that stemmed from authentic choices. We want to hear from the world and establish the depths trueness can reach.
