Who Benefits from The Trueness Project?

Have you been in a situation that challenged you to compromise your values so that you can fit in?

It’s demanding to consistently remain true to yourself when you are unsure of what or who you truly are.

Whether in school or at the workplace, there’s always something to challenge your identity. It could be the pressure to conform to societal norms, or the inability to access resources you genuinely need.

Such pressures can easily trick you into becoming someone you are not so you can satisfy the moment.

However, trading your identity, even for a second, can ruin your dreams, vision, and aspirations. Often, you end up feeling unfulfilled, stressed, or mentally disturbed.

You may also question your purpose, feel isolated, or struggle to choose between who you are and who you feel pressured to be.

At The Trueness Project, we dig into the roots of connecting with yourself, cultivating self-awareness, and inspiring authentic living.

But who benefits from The Trueness Project?

This article discusses the various groups of people that we serve and the challenges they face.

You will also learn how we address their challenges and the benefits of our approach.

Let’s dive in.

Who Do We Serve?

The Trueness Project has spread its wings to reach and impact a global audience of various categories.

These include but are not limited to:

School-going Children Discovering Themselves

School-going children face immense pressure from peers, academic expectations, and societal norms. While their minds are opening to the world around them, they try to form identities and define their paths.

The journey can be filled with confusion, insecurities, and the fear of not fitting in.

The Trueness Project helps these young individuals to navigate this critical phase with confidence and clarity, inspiring them to embrace their true selves.

We have visited and mentored nearly 17,000 school-going children in Kenya, Nepal and various other countries. Through the mentorship sessions, we introduce to them real-life stories from keynote speakers and life coaches, teach them leadership skills, and donate leadership resources for self-development.

We believe that the earlier these young champions connect with themselves, the more influential they continue to become with their skills and talents.

Youth Torn Between Life’s Hurdles

Youth often find themselves juggling the demands of work, life, and family.

As they transition from adolescence to adulthood, the pressure to succeed professionally, maintain relationships, and discover their purpose can be overwhelming.

During the transition, it’s easy to lose sight of their values and aspirations to the competing demands of life.

The Trueness Project offers support and resources to help the youth stay afloat and visioned, make informed choices, and live fulfilling lives. Part of this support is an enabling environment for growth and self-development.

Oftentimes, the lack of progression after secondary education can be a significant setback to the youth.

As a way of promoting growth and development, The Trueness Project has been donating leadership, growth, and development books to foster open-mindedness, exposure, and a positive mindset in approaching life.

We also promote their talent in various ways and connect them with mentors who can hold their hands and help shape their career paths.

And when opportunities knock, we have a pool of talent to pick from and recommend for opportunities.

Less Privileged Communities

Despite the UN’s effort to eradicate extreme poverty in all its forms by 2030, 712+ million people globally still survive on less than $2.15 daily.

Given that the number was arrived at in 2022, a significant effort is required to meet the UN’s objective, at least by 90% by 2030. But why?

While there was a noticeable decrease in poverty levels by 2019, the effects of COVID-19 were far-reaching, negatively influencing the global economy. This calls for a consistent effort in mitigating financial risks and working towards stabilizing national economies.

In communities where poverty dominates and stereotypes persist, growth and self-expression opportunities are limited. And when pandemics or natural calamities hit, the effects are felt more in these communities.

Individuals in such communities find it challenging to forge forward and they slowly lose the ability to thrive. Several factors contribute to the inability to grow and develop themselves, including:

    • Unavailability of resources such as computers to access the internet and browse resourceful materials for growth and development

    • Limited access to influential education materials such as books for capacity building

    • Lack of access to quality education due to poverty and hence inability to settle their tuition fee

    • Lack of basic needs such as sanitary health products, food, and clothing, lowering children’s self-esteem and confidence

    • Limited exposure to the world around them and potential opportunities.

Such limitations, unchecked, can contribute significantly to poverty cycles, shuttered dreams, and the loss of direction and purpose.

We appreciate the existence of charity programs such as orphanages and childcare centers. But we also understand even such programs need support to fund their goodwill initiatives and empower their beneficiaries to thrive.

The Trueness Project provides access to transformational resources, education, and opportunities to empower such communities to rise above their circumstances and live authentically.

By discovering themselves and living authentically, they can regain their confidence, exploit their potential, and transform more lives.

Additionally, through our philanthropic activities, we support the well-being of less privileged communities through the provision of basic needs. As such, we promote equity and share in the joy of touching lives.

In this spirit, in the last one year, we have donated over 3500 packs of sanitary pads to school-going girls and women in Kenya.

Women Ready to Unleash Their 100% Potential

Women are often held back by societal expectations, gender biases, and self-doubt.

Despite their talents and capabilities, many women struggle to fully embrace their potential and make their voices heard.

The Trueness Project offers programs that nurture their strengths, build their confidence, and empower them to break free from limitations imposed on them.

With our women empowerment program, we support women to thrive and lead through:

    • Building self-confidence: We nurture an environment for women to explore their strengths and talents fearlessly

    • Leadership development: Through mentorship and training, we empower women to take up leadership roles in their communities, and even careers

    • Breaking barriers: Our initiatives are designed to inspire women to overcome self-doubt, challenge stereotypes, and embrace opportunities that align with their passions.

How the Trueness Project Transforms Lives

We are invested in long-term, sustainable and transformative solutions that build individuals, societies, and the generations to come. Previously, we discussed in depth our community support initiatives. And the impact we’re witnessing is enthralling.

For instance, so far, we have mentored over 16000 students and donated over 1250 leadership books, for both children and adults. We are also organizing our mentorship sessions to educate more students and reach more individuals globally. But is that all?

Absolutely no! Looking at the impact we have achieved in a year from the ideation of the non-profit we’re certain of a sustainable transformation.

Here are the three main ways in which The Trueness Project is achieving the transformation:

1. Cultivating Authentic Living from the Roots

As a key driver to utmost fulfillment, we nurture authenticity at the early stages of child development. We teach children and individuals to embrace their differences, connect with who they truly are, and be confident in their skills and talents.

The Trueness Project achieves such a long-term transformation through:

    • Career development and mentorship

    • Hands-on experience to nurture talent

    • Lifelong learning through training, narration, and writing of real-life stories

2. Leadership Development

Leaders are change pioneers. They are aware of who they are, their weaknesses and strengths, and lead with empathy.

We nurture leadership through:

    • Mentorship sessions with inspiring mentors and role models to cultivate leadership and a growth mindset

    • Leadership workshops to equip young leaders with problem-solving and life skills such as resilience, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking

    • Leadership resources to continually learn and evolve with changing life demands

3. Self-Discovery and Capacity Building

The true measure of transformation is the number of people you have truly impacted, not how impacted you are. As we nurture young leaders for the future, we are also equipping them with the capacity to impact and transform more lives.

Extending a heart to underserved communities and ongoing support to break poverty cycles are some of the initiatives we use to support continuous transformation.
