We are bridging the digital divide across Africa’s learning spaces, connecting the youth with opportunities
Technology is playing a significant, unignorable role in shaping the world today. Seamless access to digital tools is no longer a luxury but a lifeline.
Yet across Africa, it’s not uncommon to find entire schools, some with up to two thousand students or more, using just two or three outdated computers, or relying on machines that barely function.
That translates to countless promising students in rural and underserved institutions still learning without a single functional computer. We are on a mission to change that.
How We’re Doing It
Through this program, we are acquiring and donating 100 laptops per country to high schools, colleges, and community institutions across Africa with limited or no access to digital tools.
Our mission is that these laptops offer access to life-changing mentorship, research, digital literacy, online learning, and global exposure, essentials for modern education and leadership development.
The beneficiaries will also have the priority to access our online course: Cultivating Authentic Leadership: Discover, Lead, Thrive.
We prioritize leadership-oriented schools and programs in underserved areas and partner with local and national leaders to identify institutions where the impact will be deepest and most sustainable.
Laptops connect these students to opportunity. With a single laptop, a student can apply to universities, learn new skills, access leadership content, or even launch a life-changing idea, which they would develop and monetize after school.
This initiative is equipping the next generation of African changemakers to think, lead, create, and even earn in a digital world.
Our main target is African countries needing a major boost with tech and digital devices. We envision donating 100 laptops to each of such countries as we visit them. We estimate the total cost per country to be $29,760 (detailed budget breakdown available).
This covers local laptop purchases and setup, laptop bags and mice, temporary storage, and internal distribution, among other tenets.
Through this program, we will be:
- Contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
